Development & Program Support Intern

Acres4Change – Baltimore, MD (Hybrid)

Who We Are:
Acres4Change is a nonprofit rooted in land justice and creating pathways for BIPOC farmers to transition into land ownership. Through our flagship project, Charm City Caps, a gourmet mushroom farm and workshop space in West Baltimore, we combine agriculture, education, and business development to build community resilience.

About the Role:
This is a great fit for students or recent grads looking to deepen their experience in nonprofit operations, research, grant work, and program strategy.

What You’ll Do:

●      Support fundraising campaigns and donor tracking

●      Research grants and help manage application materials

●      Update and revise program documents (like handbooks and agreements)

●      Research markets, customers, and mushroom operations

●      Help build admin and project management systems

●      Pitch in on flexible admin support as needs shift

What We’re Looking For:

●      Strong writing, research, and communication skills
●      Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
●      Comfortable with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
●      Interest in nonprofits, startups, land justice, or environmental equity

●      Bonus if you’ve taken coursework in nonprofit management, evaluation, or public policy

Details:

●      Hybrid role: Mostly remote, with occasional in-person support for Saturday volunteer events

●      Stipend available

●      Ideal candidates will have some prior experience in administrative support, research, or nonprofit work, whether through internships, class projects, or volunteer roles.
