Our primary focus in the first 2-3 years. Cultivate the land using sustainable agricultural practices; Grow healthy food to address food insecurity, promote food justice, and ensure food sovereignty; Engage in land conservation activities to combat climate change.   

Housing

Cultivate an economic foundation by building an affordable house and becoming a homeowner; Grow and add value to your investment by constructing a rental unit to generate income; Engage in sustainable livelihoods by incorporating homesteading and environmentally friendly building options.

Small Business

Cultivate financial independence by constructing a low-cost structure to house your small business and or rent space out to business owners; Grow opportunities with indoor and outdoor event and recreation facilities; Engage the community by showcasing creativity through Visual and Performance Arts and Culture.

  • Black families have $5.04 in net worth for every $100 held by White families

  • The estimated median wealth of black households is $24,100 while the he estimated median wealth of white households is $188,200.

  • Black families are 40% less likely to own property than White families.    

  •  In 1920 there were 949,889 Black farmers. Today there are 45,508 black farmers.

  •  Over the last 50 years, Black farmers have lost 11 million acres of farmland through theft, fraud, and deception.

  • Typical Black household incomes halved between 1983 and 2016
