Here are some 2025 highlights we’re proud to share: Launched a new cohort of Stewards in July, continuing to build the next generation of BIPOC farmers, landowners, and cooperative leaders. Began work on our on-site inoculation chamber, a critical step toward scaling mushroom production, reducing costs, and strengthening the long-term sustainability of Charm City Caps. Expanded our educational programming by partnering with Filbert Street Garden to host a hands-on workshop teaching community members mushroom cultivation skills. Grew and distributed fresh mushrooms through Charm City Caps, strengthening food access while creating meaningful learning opportunities for Stewards. Launched our value-added mushroom product line, opening new revenue streams to support long-term organizational sustainability. Supported Steward alum, Yamin, as he laid the foundation for his composting business at the Sankofa Farm Collective, demonstrating the real-world impact of our Stewardship Program and advancing our vision for community-owned, regenerative micro-farms in West Baltimore.
