We’re thrilled to welcome a dynamic new cohort to our 9-month Stewardship Program!
The Stewards’ journey began in July with a robust orientation, and since then they’ve been immersed in workshops on business planning, cooperative and collective structures, and mushroom cultivation. They’ve also learned farming and business best practices directly from our partners in the field, gaining skills they will carry into their future as land stewards and leaders. A memorable highlight was seeing the Stewards work alongside program alum Yamin to build compost bins for his farm — a hands-on experience that deepened their connection to creating healthy food systems.
Over the next seven months, this talented group will co-manage Charm City Caps, expand their skills through hands-on education, and take meaningful steps toward collective land ownership.
